What Is a Taste Profile?
A taste profile is a collection of your reactions, with room for likes, dislikes and curiosity.

A record of your preferences
A taste profile collects your reactions to specific things. On Hug or Shrug you can like a food, dislike a trend and want to try an experience without writing a review for every subject. Each reaction refers to a listing, so the subject matters: a brand and its product are not automatically the same preference.
Your profile develops as you react. Five meaningful reactions give you an initial collection; ten make it easier to review a personal summary; twenty offer more material for exploring categories. These are progress markers, not scientific claims about your personality.
Five choices have different meanings
Hug and Shrug express positive and negative preference. Want to Try expresses curiosity and contributes a different kind of signal. Never Tried and Don't Know record limited experience or familiarity. They are kept separate from positive and negative opinion agreement.
You can change your reaction. A new experience, a different context or simply a change of mind can lead to a new answer. The latest reaction to a listing is the relevant one; repeatedly reacting to the same subject does not create multiple independent preferences.
Saving and comparing
Guest reactions remain in the current browser. They are not added to public community counts. Creating an account lets you import them and use a saved profile. New accounts start with private profiles; review your privacy settings before choosing to appear in discovery.
Comparisons require reactions to the same listings. A hundred reactions to entirely different subjects cannot establish agreement between two people. The app shows shared-item counts and withholds compatibility percentages until there are at least three comparable reactions. Even then, the result describes recorded preferences rather than predicting friendship.
